CEDICE Libertad

CEDICE

CEDICE Libertad is a think tank founded in Caracas, Venezuela, in 1984 to promote classical liberal economic thought, the ideas of a free society, and individual action and initiative. Its principles include individual freedom, private property rights, the free market, the creation of wealth, and reduction of poverty. CEDICE pursues these goals through conferences, education, publications, and various other channels.

Among its many awards, CEDICE earned the 2018 Democratic Values Prize from the Andrés Bello Catholic University, and the 2012 Templeton Freedom Award for its Economic Formation Program for Journalists. It has also had consistently high rankings in the University of Pennsylvania’s annual Global Go To Think Tank Report. In this year’s ranking CEDICE was named one of the top ten think tanks in South and Central America, and one of the top 100 in the world.
