National Security Programme at the Canadian Forces College, October 13, 2011, Toronto

The National Security Programme at the Canadian Forces College invited Brian Lee Crowley to speak as part of a defence studies session on October 13, 2011 in Toronto.

The topic of the session was “How the Canadian Government Works” with a focus on the impact of the political process on the development and implementation of national security policy. Brian discussed this and how public policy think tanks can effect change within the political governance process.

The National Security Programme is a 10-month, residential programme intended for civilian executives from the Department of National Defence; other government departments; public security agencies; non-governmental organizations and academic institutions; Canadian Forces colonels and naval captains; and officers of similar rank from allied nations.
